The Mequon-Thiensville Community Foundation is excited to welcome Bill Hughes IV to its Board of Directors — a natural next step for someone who has already played a meaningful role in strengthening community connections across Mequon and Thiensville.
Bill first became involved with MTCF in 2025, helping launch the Foundation’s Civic Council initiative. Designed as a neutral, relationship-driven forum, the Civic Council brings together leaders from municipalities, schools, nonprofits, businesses, and foundations to share information, deepen awareness of community needs, and identify opportunities for collaboration. Bill’s steady leadership and collaborative mindset were instrumental in shaping this effort.
“Bill’s leadership and collaborative mindset have already made a meaningful difference through his work on the Civic Council,” said Lori Lorenz, MTCF Board President. “We are excited to welcome him to the Board and look forward to the insight and energy he will bring to advancing MTCF’s mission.”
A Mequon native, Bill returned home after graduating from Xavier University to begin his career in executive search and consulting with Interim Professionals & Executive Search. His commitment to community runs deep — he coaches baseball for the Junior Chinooks, basketball for the Lumen Christi Saints, serves as Chair of the Lumen Christi School Commission, and leads the Lumen Christi Dad’s Bible Group.
“Bringing people together to accomplish meaningful things has always been a passion of mine, and I’m excited to help build on the strong foundation MTCF has created,” Bill shared. “I look forward to working with our community to strengthen connections, support impactful initiatives, and ensure Mequon and Thiensville continue to thrive for generations.”
