The Mequon-Thiensville Community Foundation is celebrating another year of strong community support as it enters its 27th year of service. In 2025, MTCF raised more than $400,000 and awarded $333,000 in grants to 12 local organizations, supporting projects that enhance the quality of life throughout Mequon and Thiensville. Remaining funds are being held for future community investment.
With a combination of donor-designated gifts and biannual community grants, MTCF’s lifetime giving has now surpassed $1.5 million, including $751,000 awarded since 2020. These milestones reflect the generosity of donors and the dedication of volunteers who help ensure that resources flow directly into meaningful local initiatives.
“None of this would be possible without the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our volunteers,” shared MTCF President Lori Lorenz. “As an all-volunteer board, we work to ensure that every dollar raised goes directly back into projects that make Mequon and Thiensville incredible places to live, work, and play.”
Highlights from 2025 Grant Funding
The 2025 grant cycle supported a wide range of impactful projects, including:
- The addition of K9 Officer Bogey to the Mequon Police Department
- Enhancements to the Thiensville Village Park Reimagined project, including a new splash pad and sport courts
- Development of a connector trail between Spirit Lake Preserve and Pukaite Woods
- Continued support for the Rotary All-User Playground at Rotary Park
These investments reflect MTCF’s commitment to recreation, safety, environmental stewardship, accessibility, and community enrichment.
