More than 140 guests, including 16 grantee organizations, gathered at Foxtown Station Nov. 14 to celebrate the impact from the grants awarded by the Mequon-Thiensville Community Foundation.
“Over the past 25 years, MTCF has awarded in excess of $1.2 million in grants to 36 organizations with over 1,100 passionate donors — thank you, and we look forward to continuing our partnership in enhancing our communities of Mequon and Thiensville!” MTCF President Lori Lorenz told attendees.
Grantees at the event included the city of Mequon and village of Thiensville police departments, city of Mequon Police Department K-9 Unit, Southern Ozaukee Fire Department, village of Thiensville, Village Park ReImagined, Jonathan Clark House, Mequon-Thiensville Historical Society, Frank L. Weyenberg Library, Mequon-Thiensville Little League/Mequon Heat, Mequon Nature Preserve, Ozaukee Washington Land Trust, Thiensville Mequon Pickleball Association, MT Trails Foundation and Ozaukee Youth Hockey Association. Unable to attend was the city of Mequon Parks Department. Also present was the Mequon-Thiensville Chamber of Commerce, city of Mequon Festivals Committee, Downtown Thiensville and the Rotary Foundation’s Rotary Park All User Park.
“By giving donors a chance to interact with these agencies, they receive a first-hand account of the good the money does and an opportunity to learn about upcoming projects,” MTCF Executive Director Deb Turk added. “A big thank you to our Believer sponsor, Richmond Investment Services and Friend sponsors, Crux Commercial Lending Partners and Ron Lisa Gibb who made the event possible.”
