The Mequon-Thiensville Community Foundation July 15 presented a $10,000 check to the Mequon-Thiensville Little League/Mequon Heat for a dugout at the Central field located at Rotary Park, 4100 West Highland Road.
Construction will begin later this year with completion anticipated for the spring 2026 baseball season.
“On behalf of the Thiensville Mequon Youth Baseball Association, we are incredibly grateful for the grant from the Mequon-Thiensville Community Foundation and its donors,” TMYBA Board President Jennifer Wirth said. “Both of our programs, Mequon-Thiensville Little League and Mequon Heat, as well as the community of youth baseball and softball players, will benefit from this exciting improvement. Thank you for investing in the youth of our community.”
Since its inception, MTCF has awarded $1.4 million to enhance the quality of life within both Mequon and Thiensville. The monies given have focused on parks and recreation, municipalities, and historical endeavors.
