Earlier this month, the Mequon-Thiensville Community Foundation gathered with more than 30 volunteers and their families for a special evening of appreciation at Ray’s Liquors. The reception was a chance to celebrate the people whose time, talent, and heart fuel MTCF’s work throughout Mequon and Thiensville.
As a largely volunteer-led organization, MTCF relies on the dedication of community members to advance its mission while ensuring that more donor dollars go directly back into local initiatives. Volunteers serve on the Board of Directors, Advisory Board, Giving Advisory Team, and numerous committees—each playing a vital role in strengthening philanthropy and community impact.
“MTCF simply would not be able to do the work we do without our volunteers,” shared Executive Director Deb Turk. “Their passion, expertise, and willingness to give their time allow us to direct more resources into the community and support projects that make a lasting difference.”
The evening was filled with conversation, gratitude, and connection—an opportunity to recognize the individuals who help make Mequon and Thiensville great places to live, work, and play.
